We are in the process of creating a documentary entitled 'Remembering Bagua'--a story told from the jungle of northern Peru. Local indigenous groups are resisting new government laws that encourage oil and gas companies to enter the Amazon region without properly consulting the local people. This conflict culminated in a violent stand-off that left 34 people dead and over 100 wounded. The violence at Bagua is an under-reported topic and we seek to raise awareness about it through this film. We have collected rare footage and interviews that we wish to share with the world. Please help us make these stories heard. We need your support to complete this film.
